Akram wrote on @wasimakramlive: "Lost my watch on flight EK 605 seat 10a KHI-DXB. I am now following @emirates.

"Please have someone contact me ASAP as I have exercised all customer service points in Dubai and do not feel comfortable that enough has been done. This watch is a family heirloom. #LostMyWatch."

The post got 562 retweets and 3.9K likes.

"Navi le lo Wasim bhai (brother, buy a new one)," tweeted a fan.Replying to @wasimakramlive and @emirates, one user posted: "Don't worry. You have lost one gadget, not your life. Nothing you or me carry after death."

Do some good things to mankind. Your watch will not be remembered, but definitely your work."A fan posted: "Aap shayad 'family heirloom' ka matlab nahi jaante (perhaps, you don't know the meaning of family heirloom)."

"Are jiss ko mile vo pahen lo apne bhai ki hai, love you bhai (whosoever finds it please wear it, it's our own brother's watch)."

To this, one fan said: "Whosoever finds it don't wear it but return it to brother Wasim."

One funny post read: "Now, the value of the watch has increased further... its WASIM bhai's watch."

"Good news and breaking news hahahahahahahaha... I am happy to listen to this," tweeted one user.

A fan posted: "Brother Wasim, leave the watch. Just return before Iran is getting ready to fire a missile at Dubai."

Another fan suggested: "You must announce a dinner for the person who returns the watch as a token of thanks, or else the watch could be a priceless token from a legend."

A Wasim Akram fan had this dare for the airlines: "Now is the time to prove that Emirates is one of the best airlines in the world even when it comes to lost/found baggage. I had a similar experience with them back in 2009 and they were able to deliver my lost baggage well under 24 hours. Let's see if they can still do it."

Akram, now a cricket commentator, had incidentally tagged Emirates Airline, which responded thus: "Hi Wasim, please DM us the description of the watch along with your flight details and email address. We'll check on this with our Lost and Found Team and let you know. Thanks."

One user gushed: "Wow, quick response, Amazing!"
