At least 20 students of Yeleswaram Gurukulam School in Andhra Pradesh's Kakinada district were admitted to hospital due to food poisoning on Tuesday, August 27.  After vomiting, students were rushed to the hospital are being treated at Yeleshwaram Government Hospital.  Parents are worried that the school's canteen may be unhygienic and responsible for the incident.

Before this incident, there were reports in the newspapers about the unhygienic conditions in the same Gurukula school’s kitchen. However, the school staff dismissed these reports as false propaganda.
