At least ten people were killed, and about 20 were injured in a bus fire accident in Andhra Pradesh’s Markapuram district on Thursday morning, March 26. The victims were burnt alive after a private passenger bus they were on board collided with a lorry near Rayavaram.

The collision was so severe that the bus was engulfed in flames, resulting in ten passengers on board being burnt alive. The accident took place while the bus was travelling from Nirmal in Telangana to Nellore district in Andhra Pradesh.

After receiving the information, police, along with the rescue team, reached the spot and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals. Rescue teams are working to identify the victims and gather details of their relatives, who will be informed once verification is completed.

AP CM Chandrababu Naidu Orders Probe

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu ordered an investigation into the accident and asked officials to extend assistance to the injured. He also enquired about the medical treatment being provided to those injured in the accident.
