Train services between Anakapalli and Visakhapatnam were temporarily halted and disrupted on Monday, March 17, after a goods train travelling from Anakapalli to Visakhapatnam collided with a girder due to heavy loading. The impact of the collision damaged the track and halted it near Anakapalli.

A video shared by the news agency ANI shows railway workers at the accident site restoring the track after the accident. A JCB machine was also called to lift damaged tracks.

However, trains are passing on the other track without major interruptions. Railway officials are working to clear the obstruction and restore normal services soon.
