Srinagar, Oct 26 Lt general, Upendra Dwivedi on Thursday visited areas in south of Kashmir to review winter preparedness of deployed forces.

Officials said that Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi, commander of Army’s Udhampur headquartered Northern Command along with Valley-based Chinar Corps Commander visited Rashtriya Rifles battalionsat Pulwama, Kulgam and Anantnag districts to review the operational preparedness and their preparation of winter strategy.

“The Army Commander interacted and felicitated the troops of Indian Army and J&K Police for their high standards of combat readiness and emphasised on continued synergy with all agencies for meaningful convergence of counter-terrorism efforts in the hinterland,” officials said.
