Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal withdrew his plea against the Enforcement Directorate's arrest from the Supreme Court on Friday, March 22. Senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, who appeared for Arvind Kejriwal, told the apex court that Kejriwal is withdrawing the petition because it clashes with the remand.

Kejriwal's move comes hours after BRS leader K Kavitha - arrested last week in the same case as he was - saw her petition denied by a special bench of the Supreme Court. She was told to approach the trial court for relief, including bail.

Earlier on Friday, the Supreme Court agreed to hear Kejriwal's plea against his arrest by the ED in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy case, which is linked to a money laundering case. A bench of J Khanna, MM Sundresh and Bela Trivedi was to hear the petition today.

CJI had asked Singhvi to mention his plea before a special three-judge bench headed by Justice Sanjiv Khanna, which was hearing the plea of BRS leader K Kavitha against her arrest by the ED in the liquor policy case, at that time.
