The Citizenship Amendment Bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha on Monday where 311 members voted in favor of the bill, while 80 votes were against. After which it was approved by the Lok Sabha. Asaduddin Owaisi has tweeted his opinion on the Bill on his official Twitter account. He wrote in the tweet, "At the stroke of midnight hour, while the world slept, India’s ideals of liberty, equality, fraternity and justice were betrayed. I fought hard against it & I promise every Indian that this fight isn’t over. Don’t let hopelessness come near you. Be defiant, be strong".Tearing the proposed Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019, AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi said, "Don't include Muslims. But why do you hate Muslims so much? What is our crime?" He also questioned why the government isn’t including minorities oppressed by China. "This law is aimed at a 2nd partition. Its worse than Hitler's law,” he said.

He went on to say that I oppose this bill, so I tore this bill. Owaisi said that it is necessary to link this bill with NRC. It is also important to see this by connecting it with NRC because this bill is totally discriminatory against Muslims. He further said that it is the right of every Indian to go to the Supreme Court against the government. And this time the government has played with the soul of the Constitution.
