A tanker carrying ethanol overturned and caught fire on National Highway 31 in Assam's Kokrajhar district on Friday, September 6. The tanker was traveling from West Bengal to Guwahati in Assam, lost control and overturned by the roadside, catching fire at around 9 AM on today.
The driver of the tanker survived as he received injuries, later he was rushed to hospital by police. He was admitted to a hospital in critical condition.

Around five fire bridges reached the spot and extinguished the blaze in 2 hours. Local police officials are investigating the incident, but the initial report suggests that the driver lost control, leading to the incident. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and further investigation is underway.
