A massive fire broke out at a warehouse in the Kanlibagh area of the Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday evening, May 18. According to the news agency IANS, the blaze erupted at the BK Traders godown, a sanitary items trading company, in north Kashmir.
The blaze destroyed goods worth rupees crores as the blaze engulfed the whole godown. After receiving the information, firefighters along with Indian Army personnel, launched a dousing operation.

A local resident said, "A fire suddenly broke out here at BK Traders' godown. The godown has been completely gutted, and flames are still rising... Fire services are at the spot carrying out operations."

“We faced difficulties during the operation... We also installed two fire pumps here... Cooling operations are still underway. As soon as the operation is completed, we will determine how the fire started... People cooperated with us, and the fire was brought under control quickly," Sopore, fire department in charge, Ab Majeed said.
