Bengal quarantines 54 Tablighi Jamaat event participants

The West Bengal government has quarantined 54 persons, including 40 foreigners, who attended the religious congregation organised by the Tablighi Jamaat in New Delhi, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Wednesday.

Kolkata, April 1 The West Bengal government has quarantined 54 persons, including 40 foreigners, who attended the religious congregation organised by the Tablighi Jamaat in New Delhi, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Wednesday.

As many as 71 people from the state attended the congregation, Banerjee told the media here.
