Seven people lost their lives in a tragic road accident near M. Satyavara village in Hoskote taluk of Bengaluru Rural district on Friday morning. The fatal crash involved a canter vehicle, a motorcycle and a car in a chain of collisions. The incident took place on the busy Hoskote-Dabaspete National Highway when a car travelling along the stretch first struck a motorcycle ahead of it. The force of the impact reportedly caused the car driver to lose control, after which the vehicle rammed into a canter moving on the same road. Six car occupants and the biker died instantly.

Initial findings indicate that excessive speed may have been a key factor behind the accident. According to police sources, the car was allegedly being driven at a very high speed when it crashed into the motorcycle from behind. The sudden jolt is believed to have thrown the vehicle off balance, causing the driver to lose command over steering. In the chaos that followed, the car swerved uncontrollably and collided head-on with the oncoming canter vehicle, resulting in a devastating impact that left little chance of survival for those involved in the crash.

Among the deceased, six victims are reported to be residents of Kothanur in Bengaluru. Authorities have not yet disclosed their names, as official procedures require that families be informed before identities are made public. Police officials stated that efforts are underway to contact the relatives of the victims and provide necessary support. The sudden loss of multiple lives from the same locality has left the community in deep shock and mourning, as news of the tragic incident spread across the area later in the day.

Soon after receiving information about the accident, police teams rushed to the site and began preliminary inquiries. Emergency responders worked to assess the situation, while traffic along the highway was temporarily affected due to the severity of the crash. Authorities undertook the task of clearing the damaged vehicles and debris from the roadway to restore normal movement. The bodies of the deceased were shifted to a nearby hospital for post-mortem examinations as part of standard legal procedures.

A formal case has been registered in connection with the incident, and a detailed investigation is currently in progress. Officials are examining evidence from the scene, including vehicle damage and possible eyewitness accounts, to determine the precise sequence of events that led to the fatal collision. Investigators are also focusing on confirming whether overspeeding was indeed the primary cause or if other contributing factors were involved. Further updates are expected once the inquiry provides clearer insights into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
