A 30-year-old software professional, Harsha HB, has been arrested in Bengaluru following a road rage incident where he allegedly made an obscene gesture towards a woman. Harsha, who works at Manyata Tech Park and resides in Attiguppe, was taken into custody on Thursday and later released on station bail.

The arrest stemmed from a police complaint filed by a woman who accused Harsha of showing her his middle finger during a confrontation on Wednesday. According to the complaint, the incident occurred on Chickpet Main Road and near Gopalan Mall. The woman stated that Harsha's car was repeatedly honking behind her vehicle, demanding she make way. Due to heavy traffic, she was unable to move aside. Harsha then reportedly pulled alongside her car, verbally abused her, and displayed the obscene gesture before driving away.

The woman, who felt humiliated and embarrassed, noted that other commuters witnessed the incident and that two female passengers were in Harsha's car. The woman recorded the incident and shared the video on X (formerly Twitter). Responding to the post, Chamarajpet police urged her to file a formal complaint. "We arrested Harsha today," a police source confirmed. "We need to gather statements from both parties to understand the circumstances leading to the road rage incident. Until then, we cannot provide further comment."
