In the upcoming Bihar assembly election, according to Times Now-C voter opinion poll, Nitish Kumar is likely to return to power in the state. Bihar will go to the polls on October 28, November 3, and 7 for the 243 member assembly. The results will be declared on November 10. 

The election will be contested between the BJP- Janata Dal (U) alliance against the Congress- Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) besides others. 

According to the predictions, BJP will bag 84 seats, followed by JD(U)- 70. Congress will manage to bag 15 seats, while RJD will get 56 seats. LJP may get 5 seats, while others will bag two seats. The NDA will come to power with 160 seats. 

In 2010, the BJP had contested elections in Bihar with the JD(U).The BJP won 91 seats and the JD(U) 115. In 2010 assembly elections, the BJP won 91 seats and got 16.49 per cent of the vote share while the JD(U) won 115 seats and got 22.58 per cent of the vote share.

At present, JD(U) has 71 MLAs and BJP has 53 legislators. In the 2010 Assembly elections, the JD(U) and BJP had contested on 141 and 102 seats, respectively.
