A violent incident in Naubatpur, Bihar, has resulted in one death and two injuries after bike-borne criminals opened fire on a man and his nephews. The incident triggered a swift response from local police, leading to a chase and the apprehension of one suspect.

According to City SP West Sarath RS of Danapur, “Some people have been shot. As soon as we received the information, a police team reached the spot.” The injured victims were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Tragically, one person succumbed to their injuries. However, the other two are reported to be out of danger.

The incident unfolded when armed individuals, traveling on motorcycles, targeted the man and his nephews. Following the shooting, the criminals attempted to flee the scene. However, their escape was thwarted when police officers, who had quickly arrived at the location, initiated a pursuit.

“The criminals have been identified. They attempted to flee after firing at the police, prompting retaliatory firing. In the process, one accused has been apprehended,” stated City SP West Sarath RS. Authorities are working to gather further details and apprehend any remaining suspects involved in the attack.
