Vande Bharat Express Accident in Bihar: A man was killed after being hit by an incoming Vande Bharat Express train at a railway station in Bihar on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. According to the media reports, the incident occurred around 9 a.m. at Barh railway station under the Danapur division of East Central Railway. The victim had reportedly moved close to the edge of platform No. 2 to spit after chewing tobacco as the Patna–Howrah Vande Bharat Express approached.

The train hit the man within seconds, leaving him with critical head injuries and throwing him onto the platform. Jawhar Lall, RPF inspector at Bakhtiyarpur, said personnel from the RPF and Government Railway Police (GRP) immediately reached the spot and took the injured man to Barh Sadar Hospital. He later died during treatment.

The identity of the deceased had not been established at the time of reporting. According to the reports, GRP officials have registered a case of unnatural death and started an investigation.

Passengers have been urged to maintain a safe distance from platform edges, especially during the arrival and departure of trains, in order to prevent such accidents.
