A head constable and a female constable of Uttar Pradesh Police were suspended after their private videos in a sexual position went viral on social media, which has triggered widespread outrage. Both were posted at the Rehar police station in Bijnor district. The matter became even more sensitive after it emerged that the female constable was in a police uniform in one of the viral MMS.
Superintendent of Police Abhishek Jha has suspended both officers, and a departmental inquiry has been initiated, according to Nav Bharat Times report. The obscene videos that show both engaging in sexual activity have surfaced on the internet and have shocked residents. The rapid circulation of the clips has led to public criticism of the police force.

Bijnor SP Abhishek Jha took immediate cognisance of the incident and ordered the suspension of both the head constable and the woman constable without delay. The police department has also launched a detailed internal probe into the matter.
The probe was ordered to find out under which circumstances the videos were recorded, along with identifying those involved in sharing them on social sites. Officials said a technical investigation may be conducted with the help of the cyber cell to trace the source and the entire chain of dissemination.
Following the incident, there are indications of stricter disciplinary measures within the department. Senior officials said that based on the findings of the inquiry, strict action will be taken against those responsible.
