Chennai, Feb 28 The BJP's Tamil Nadu unit on Friday held processions across the state supporting the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

The rally was held to counter the campaign against CAA, National Register for Citizen (NRC) and National Population Register (NPR) by opposition parties in the state saying that it would impact the Muslims.

Rallies in support of CAA were held by Tamil Nadu BJP in Thoothukudi, Madurai, Nagapattinam, Tiruchirappalli, Thanjavur, Villupuram and other districts.

According to party members, Muslims are being misled by the opposition parties on the issue.
