Senior BJP leader and former MP Dilip Ghosh stirred a controversy after he was involved in a heated argument with a group of women from his constituency, who confronted him about the lack of development in the area. Ghosh was caught in a heated altercation with local women in Kharagpur, West Bengal. The incident occurred in the Mathpada area of Ward No. 6 during the inauguration of a newly constructed road.

According to reports, local women confronted Ghosh, questioning his absence from the area during his tenure as an MP. The situation escalated when Ghosh, angered by their protest, allegedly used abusive language and threatened them, saying, "Don't scream, if you scream, I'll strangle you."

The women further challenged him, asking why he was inaugurating the road if it was built using municipal funds. In response, Ghosh claimed that the project was funded during his tenure as an MP. As tensions rose, he reportedly said, "I will remind you of fourteen generations," sparking outrage among the protesters.

Amidst the chaos, Ghosh alleged that the protest was orchestrated by Trinamool Congress workers, dismissing it by saying, "These people were barking for just Rs 500." His remarks were met with strong criticism from the ruling TMC, which condemned his behavior as "indecent and insulting."

The incident has ignited a political controversy, with opposition leaders calling for an apology from Ghosh.
