Bhopal, March 17 After 22 Congress MLAs turned rebel and sent their resignations to the Speaker in Madhya Pradeh bringing the Kamal Nath government on the brink of collapse, the BJP is also struggling to keep its flock together.

A BJP legislator Narayan Tripathi had meeting with chief minister Kamal Nath twice on Monday shortly after the Assembly was adjourned for 10 days.

The MLA from Maihar along with Congress legislator Arif Masood came to meet Kamal Nath at his residence.

Tripathi was not a part of the delegation led by former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan who met Governor Lalji Tandon at Raj Bhawan on Monday. Chouhan demanded immediate floor test for the government to prove its majority.

Tripathi also did not accompany the BJP legislators who were put up at a resort in Gurugram.

When asked Tripathi did not openly express support to Kamal Nath, but said he will support whoever provides development in his constituency.

He had earlier said that some of the Congress MLAs have been held in 'captive' in Bengaluru, giving enough hint which side he is likely to vote if confidence montion is brought in the house.
