A fire broke out at a mobile shop in Surya Plaza in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, causing significant damage and destroying goods worth several lakhs, officials said.

The blaze reportedly started inside the shop and quickly spread, damaging mobile phones, accessories and other electronic items stored on the premises. Local authorities and firefighters were alerted soon after the incident was noticed.

Firefighters rushed to the spot and worked to bring the flames under control, preventing the fire from spreading to nearby shops in the busy commercial complex.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported so far. However, the shop suffered heavy losses as a large quantity of goods was gutted in the fire.The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
