A dead body found lying in a vacant plot in Dhanaura village in the Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh, under the jurisdiction of the Kakod police station, turned out to be a case of murder committed by the victim's own sons. The police have arrested both accused and recovered key evidence, including a mobile phone, motorcycle and the scarf used in the crime. The accused have been formally charged.

Addressing a press conference at the Police Lines auditorium, SSP Shlok Kumar stated that on April 2, the body of Satyaveer, son of Harprasad and a resident of Dhanaura village in the Kakod area, was discovered in a vacant plot near a temple on the banks of the Rajwaha. A murder case was registered at Kakod police station based on a complaint filed by Satyaveer's son, Indrajeet.

Following the registration of the case, both Kakod police and the SWAT team launched an investigation to trace the culprits. During the probe, it was revealed that Satyaveer Singh owned 38 bighas of agricultural land and had a history of alcohol and gambling addiction. His sons, Indrajeet and Jackie, feared that he would sell the property, so they hatched a plan to eliminate him.

According to the investigation, the sons killed their father because he used to get drunk and sexually assault their sister. The elder son's wedding was also called off due to the father's drinking habits. The eldest son had searched online about how to transfer property after the father's death. Suspecting their involvement, the police took both sons into custody.

On April 1, when Satyaveer returned home intoxicated, Indrajeet mixed sleeping pills into his food. Once their father fell asleep, the two sons strangled him with a scarf, killing him. Later, they transported his body on a motorcycle and dumped it in a vacant plot near the temple. The police have arrested both accused and recovered the mobile phone, motorcycle, and scarf used in the crime. SSP Kumar confirmed that both Indrajeet and Jackie have been booked and sent for judicial proceedings.
