A major accident was reported near the Roadways bus stand in the Kotwali City area of Hardoi in Uttar Pradesh after a speeding car rammed into a parked Roadways bus from behind, triggering a fire in both vehicles.

According to officials, the collision occurred near the busy bus stand area, where the impact caused both the car and the bus to catch fire. Flames quickly engulfed the two vehicles, creating panic among people present nearby.

Speaking about the incident, Fire Officer Shivram Yadav said that the fire control room received information about the blaze soon after the accident.

“Our team rushed to the spot immediately after receiving the alert. When we arrived, both the car and the bus were already engulfed in flames,” Yadav said, adding that the vehicle involved in the crash is registered in Hardoi.

Firefighters worked to control the blaze and prevent it from spreading further. Authorities are currently assessing the damage caused by the incident.

Police and fire officials have begun an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident and the sequence of events that led to the fire. Further details are awaited.
