A class 12 boy who was unable to bear body-shaming comments from classmates committed suicide after jumping from the fourth floor of his residential apartment. The victim identified as 17-year-old Kishore, who already gave a written complaint to the school principal with his mother regarding the bullying that afternoon, saying how three of his classmates had been bullying him, calling him "ugly," "skinny," and "dark."

The principal said that the school would investigate the matter. According to TOI, quoting a police officer, Kishore was going into depression after the incident. He returned home to the Sendoor Park Apartment on Dr Gurusamy Road at 2.30 pm. Later, he told his mother he wanted to go out for cycling, but she did not allow him and asked him to stay home.
