Chinese military releases 10 Indian Army personnel after three days of violent clash

After violent clash in Galwan Valley area in Ladakh, Chinese military after three days has released 10 Indian Army personnel, including four officers, to Patrol Point 14 on Thursday evening, according to sources. 

The soldiers have been released after three days of negotiations. The released 10 soldiers include two Majors, two Captains and six jawans from two units, the sources added.

Indian and Chinese militaries held a Major General-level dialogue on Thursday for the third consecutive day on disengagement of troops as well as restoring normalcy in areas around the Galwan Valley.

An official word on the release of 10 Indian Army soldiers is, however, still awaited.

The Indian Army on Thursday said all Indian soldiers involved in the deadly clashes with the Chinese army at the Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh on Monday night had been “accounted for”. "It is clarified that there are no Indian troops missing in action," the Army had said in a brief statement without elaborating.
