Burhanpur, May 6 Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday assured full support to the business community, saying the government is committed to resolving their issues and promoting industrial growth across the state.

Addressing industrialists during the 'Entrepreneur Dialogue' programme at the Parmanand Govindjiwala Auditorium in Burhanpur, Yadav said, “Our government stands with the business community in every situation. Every problem they face will be resolved.”

He added that entrepreneurs play a crucial role in strengthening the economy and have the resilience to overcome challenges.

The Chief Minister announced that efforts are underway to make cotton duty-free and said a new initiative will soon be introduced to facilitate industrialists.

He also informed that the state Cabinet has approved the formation of a Trader Welfare Board, which will function at the district level to address traders’ concerns.

Highlighting the government’s focus, Yadav said 2025 has been designated as the “Year of Industry” and 2026 as the “Year of Farmer Welfare.”

He said the government is working continuously to boost both sectors and generate employment opportunities.

Yadav further said that several outdated laws affecting traders have been removed, and efforts are being made to resolve electricity-related issues through coordination between departments.

A new access road will also be constructed to improve connectivity for traders in the region, he added.

Describing Burhanpur as a ‘gateway to development,’ the Chief Minister said the district holds strong potential for industrial growth.

He also announced plans to organise a Nimar Investors Summit to attract investment.

Later, speaking to the media, Yadav said, “Our focus is on increasing farmers’ income while also boosting industry and employment opportunities.”

He added that the government aims to ensure balanced growth and strengthen the state’s economy.

Reiterating his commitment, the Chief Minister said the government will continue to work closely with traders and industrialists to create a supportive environment for growth in Madhya Pradesh.
