COVID-19 lockdown: First passenger flight from Delhi lands at Chennai airport

The first flight from Delhi's Indira Gandhi International airport has landed at Chennai airport today as domestic passenger flight services resumed amid COVID-19 lockdown.

The first flight from Delhi's Indira Gandhi International airport has landed at Chennai airport today as domestic passenger flight services resumed amid COVID-19 lockdown.

The number of incoming commercial passenger flights to Chennai has been restricted to 25 per day.

According to authorities, there are 16 flights coming to Chennai from other parts of the country and 19 flights are departing from the city to the other states.

All scheduled commercial passenger flights were suspended in India since March 25 when the Centre imposed a lockdown to contain coronavirus.
