COVID-19 scare: Modi not to attend any Holi programme

Following the coronavirus scare, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said that as a precaution he will not participate in any 'Holi Milan' programme.

New Delhi, March 4 Following the coronavirus scare, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said that as a precaution he will not participate in any 'Holi Milan' programme.

"Experts across the world have advised to reduce mass gatherings to avoid the spread of COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus. Hence, this year I have decided not to participate in any Holi Milan programme," Modi tweeted.

His remarks came a day after over 21 Italian tourists were brought from Jaipur to ITBP Hospital in Manesar and also six people from Agra were shifted to the national capital.
