Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has confirmed that the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) employees will get an increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) by 2.1% for the year 2026.

If the DA increases by 2.1%, then the increment will go from 50.7% to 52.8%. The increment will take effect from January 1, 2026. The Telangana government also confirmed that arrears for the past three months will be paid through supplementary bills and will be distributed month-wise over the coming three months.

Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said that the DA hike for TGSRTC staff will create an additional financial burden of nearly 2.822 crore per month of the Telangana SRTC. Earlier, in July 2025, the state govt raised DA by 2.1%, moving it from 48.6% to 50.7%.

There are no pending DA dues for TGSRTC employees following the implementation of the RPS-2017 pay revision in May 2024.
