Dehradun will be experiencing power-cut for five-hour until April 10, due to the new power line work in  areas connected to the Bindal-Niranjanpur 33 kV feeder  and the Tilak Road feeder. Power supply will be disrupted for approximately seven hours daily over the next five days, starting April 6.

Due to the construction of a 33 kV line from Bindal Bridge to the Matawala Bagh substation, areas served by the 33 kV Bindal-Niranjanpur and 11 kV Tilak Road feeders will experience power supply interruptions from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM on April 6-10. Tilak Road, Khudbura, Machhi Bazar, Anand Chowk, and Mantruganj will have complete power outages during the same hours on April 6-8.

From April 6-9, 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, power will be interrupted in areas served by the 11 kV Raffle Home and 11 kV Rajpur Road feeders (Araghar, Parade Ground, and Patel Road substations) for essential repairs. Meanwhile, UPCL Superintending Engineer Vijay Kumar Singh has launched an inquiry into the allegedly unauthorized underground laying of the Jhajhra-Mohanpur 33 kV line in Raghav Vihar, Alaknanda, and Shyampur. This follows a complaint by Pahadi Mahasabha General Secretary Geeta Bisht, who expressed concerns that the line poses a safety risk to approximately forty families.

According to Livehindustan reports, power outages are scheduled in Mohanpur and Ganeshpur due to breaker panel repairs at the substations and conductor replacement on the 11 kV Mehunwala and Rishi Vihar feeders from the 33 kV Mohanpur substation.

The following areas will be affected

Mohanpur on April 6-7; Mehunwala, Pitthuwala, Van Vihar, Himadri Enclave, Hanumant Society, and Naya Nagar from April 6-8; and Rishi Vihar, Telpur Chowk, Ghisarwadi, Chauhan Mohalla, and Harbanswala from April 9-11 (10:00 AM - 5:00 PM).

Power outages are expected in the Araghar and Parade Ground areas on April 6 and 7 between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The power supply will be affected in areas served by the Ganeshpur, Badowala, Harbhajwala, Naya Gaon, and DSP Chowk feeders, including Ganeshpur, Karbari, Jhiwarhedi, Sumeru Vihar, Gorkha Karbari, Manaksiddh Road, Shakti Vihar, Chandratal, Tutowala, Premnagar Road, Sewli, Ratanpur, Malhan, Pelio, Bhudpur, Singhniwala, Hasanpur, Sherpur, and Chakmash.
