Several areas in Dehradun will experience power cut today for the ongoing repair work. This power cut is to do technical repair work and replacement of AB cables in various area. The Energy UPCL is going to start line repair work in Basant Vihar, Bhandaribagh, Niranjanpur, Kaulagarh, and Anarwala areas from today.
According to the schedule there will be a power shutdown which began from February 9 will continue to February 14 between 9:30 AM and 4:30 PM in Basant Vihar, Indiranagar, Urja Bhawan Kaonli Road, Vaibhav Vihar, Bhandaribagh, and Patel Nagar. Bhandaribagh and Matawala Bagh will have a shutdown from February 9-11 and on February 14. Niranjanpur and Patel Nagar will have a shutdown from February 12-13 and on February 16-17. Kaulagarh and the Vijay Park area will have a shutdown on February 10 and February 12.
Power supply will be disrupted under the RDSS scheme from February 9-14, 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, in areas served by the 132/33 KV Purukul power house. Affected areas include Anarwala, Gunial Gaon, Ghattowali, Bisht Gaon, Jamnivala, Chaura, Kantiayana, Badi Bithali, Choti Bithali, Kasiga School, Kimadi, Nau Bigha, Gangol Panditwadi, and Rikholi, causing consumer inconvenience.

Dehradun is currently experiencing severe cold, leading to widespread use of heaters, blowers, and geysers. Power outages will disrupt the use of these appliances, causing significant hardship. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain and snowfall alert for Uttarakhand's hilly districts starting today, forecasting a minimum temperature drop of up to three degrees.
