Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora said that voting for all the seats of Delhi Assembly will be held on February 8 and counting of votes on February 11. 

Chief Election Commissioner Arora said, " The last date for filing nomination papers for the Delhi Assembly elections is January 21 while the scrutiny of nomination papers will be on January 22." He said that the last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is 24 January.

Delhi has 70 assembly seats out of which 58 are in general category while 12 seats are reserved for scheduled castes. Arora said that extensive discussions have been held with various law compliance agencies in connection with the preparations for the Delhi Assembly elections, including the security dimension. He said that the model code of conduct will be implemented only after the announcement of the election process.

A total of 1.46 crore voters will be able to exercise their franchise in the assembly elections.
