A shocking incident came to light on Wednesday after a class 9 student was allegedly killed by his own friends for Rs 10 lakh ransom in Delhi's Wazirabad area. First, they kidnapped 15-year-old Vaibhav Garg from the Milan Vihar area and demanded a ransom from his family over a phone call.

The Mother of the victim said, "My son went out on Sunday evening after receiving a call. He said he would be back in 10 mins, but there was no sign of him... We received a call asking for a Rs 10 lakh ransom or the kidnappers threatened to kill my son..."

The investigation revealed that Vaibhav was last seen with three minors who kidnapped him. On March 23, they took victim to Bhalswa Lake, killed him with knives, and dumped his body. The suspects later called Vaibhav’s father for ransom. His body was recovered on March 25, reported the news agency IANS. An FIR was registered at PS Wazirabad, and three suspects involved in the case were arrested.
