A major fire broke out at a residential house in Gali No. 6 of Majlis Park under the Adarsh Nagar police station area in Delhi on Sunday, triggering panic in the neighbourhood.

According to officials, fire tenders were rushed to the spot soon after information about the blaze was received. While firefighting operations were underway, a cylinder kept inside the house suddenly exploded, resulting in a loud blast that intensified the situation.

The explosion left a total of 13 people injured, including seven members of the family residing in the house, three fire department personnel, and three police personnel present at the scene.

All the injured were immediately shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment. Authorities are assessing the extent of the damage, and further investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the fire.

Assistant Divisional Officer of Delhi Fire Service, Aman Kumar Lakhda confirmed the development, "The details I have collected so far, there are 7 civilians, 3 fire service personnel and 3 police personnel. We got to know from the first responder, as he was the first responder, he started taking the entry and started laying out his hose. That's when the blast happened. In between, civilians must have gathered here or there must have been some inside the house. But it was said that there was a fire, so some smoke was felt and everyone came down.
