Delhi man arrested for posing as Lufthansa pilot

A Delhi resident has been arrested at the Indira Gandhi International Airport for posing as pilot of Lufthansa staff to evade queues and check-ins.

A Delhi resident has been arrested at the Indira Gandhi International Airport for posing as pilot of Lufthansa staff to evade queues and check-ins. The 48-year old has been identified as Rajan Mahubani was caught wearing a pilot's uniform when he was nabbed from the departure gate of the airport. The accused was all set to board an Air Asia flight to Kolkata according to the police. 

The cops have recovered fake ids which Rajan has reportedly used at numerous domestic airports in the last few months. He used to introduce himself as consultant, and instructor with the Lufthansa base at Kolkata. Mahbubani even managed to get seat upgrades at times and used the modus operandi for a lot of his travels. 

There were pictures of him dressed as an army colonel on his phone. He had shot videos on TiKTok -- the social media app for recording and sharing short clips  - wearing uniforms. During his interrogation, Mahbubani reportedly said he was fond of wearing uniforms of different professions and getting himself photographed.
