Delhi Power Cut Today: Electricity Supply to Remain Disrupted in Several Areas on May 9; Details Inside

Delhi Power Cut Today: The scheduled power cut has been announced by the BSES Rajdhani Power limited, which provides power to large part of Delhi on Saturday May 9. This cut is for the technical improvement, network upgrade and repair work in many major areas of South and West Delhi. The people living in Vikaspuri, Janakpuri, Hauz Khas or Palam will be affected most. The power supply disruption will last for 1-4 hours in several areas.

As per the schedule the longest shutdown will be in Subhash Nagar area of ​​Janakpuri division, where power will be affected from 9 am to 1 pm due to transformer fault. At the same time, power will be cut for 3 hours due to network upgradation and civil works in Vikaspuri Extension, Vikaspuri GG2 Block and other areas.

Mohan Garden Area: Two separate shutdowns will take place in the Mohan Garden region. Electricity supply in Raza Pur Khurd Vikas Nagar will remain suspended from 12 noon to 1:30 pm due to LT circuit maintenance work. Meanwhile, network upgradation work will be carried out in Block K-6, Jaildar Enclave in Hastasal from 11 am to 1 pm. Power supply in parts of Hauz Khas will be affected due to technical issues related to the RMU system. Maintenance work at the TIFAC Building is scheduled from 11:05 am to 11:50 am. In Gulmohar Park’s D Block, electricity will remain disrupted from 11 am to 11:45 am because of an operational mechanism fault.

Nangloi and Vikaspuri: Several areas in Vikaspuri and Nangloi will witness outages owing to transformer and network upgradation works. Power supply in Vikaspuri Extension will remain affected from 11 am to 2 pm for transformer network enhancement. Civil work related to transformers will also be conducted in the GG2 Block of Vikaspuri. Additionally, LT circuit network upgradation work will be carried out in Shiv Vihar Hastasal and Nangli Vihar.

Khanpur and Sangam Vihar: Electricity supply in Tigri Colony and Tigri Sangam Vihar will remain interrupted from 11 am to 12:30 pm due to LT circuit maintenance. Repair work linked to the RMU issue on the 11KV feeder will also be undertaken in Durga Vihar, Deoli Sangam Vihar.

Palam and Sagarpur: Several parts of the Palam division will face power disruptions because of transformer load balancing and RMU fault rectification work. Electricity supply will remain affected in Pink Apartments and Pocket A-9 in Narsirpur. Shutdowns are also scheduled in Kailashpuri East, Main Palam, Sagarpur, and Sabzi Mandi areas.

Residents are advised to make necessary arrangements for the essential appliances such as inverters, water pumps ahead of power outage to avoid further inconvenience.
