Delhi witnessed light rainfall along with dust storms on Thursday evening, April 10, giving respite from scorching heat. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted that the National Capital region would receive rain and storms with a temperature drop.

The IMD said that the temperature will record a drop with rainfall and thunderstorms on April 9 to 11 due to a western disturbance. Residents buzzed social media app X (formerly Twitter) with videos and photos of light showers and dust storms in the National Capital.

Delhi Climate Amazed Residents 

According to the nowcast bulletin, light rainfall and high winds will sweep the capital for the next 2 to 3 hours, giving Delhites some relief from intense heat. The city recorded a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius earlier, which was the season's first heatwave.The minimum temperature in the national capital on Thursday morning was 25.9 degrees Celsius, which is 5.9 degrees above the season’s average.
