A  heart-wrenching incident of crime has came to light from Delhi's Mukherji Nagar  were a 30-year-old woman allegedly killed her one-year-nine-month-old nephew. This incident occurred on Friday, February 20, 2026 afternoon. According to PTI reports, woman reportedly suffering from depression, allegedly attacked the boy in a park. Woman was seen sitting with the child's body on her lap, said senior police officer.

Rahul, a local gardener, rescued the child after hearing a commotion and rushing to the park. He told reporters he heard shouting after lunch and found a woman holding the child, who appeared dead. The child's maternal uncle reported the incident, which occurred around 1:30 pm, to the police. Police confirmed the child, a resident of Old Seelampur, was visiting his maternal home in the apartment with his mother.

Police reported that the unmarried accused was found unconscious at the scene and taken to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital for treatment and examination.

Legal action has been initiated, and the investigation is ongoing to determine the motive behind the incident. Further details are awaited.
