A Delhi Jal Board office in the Chhatarpur area of the National Capital was vandalised by unidentified people with the chants of "Kejriwal Murdabad" on Sunday afternoon, June 16, in protest of the water crisis city.

Earlier on Sunday, two PCR calls were made regarding a dispute over filling water from a common tap in the Dwarka district area. Three people were injured in this dispute and were shifted to Indira Gandhi Hospital. There is no communal angle. Two cross-cases are registered on the statement of both parties. Investigation underway, said Delhi Police.

According to the reports, the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) women workers on Sunday held a protest at the Delhi Jal Board office in Chhatarpur, and angry agitators were seen pelting stones at the DJB office in Delhi.

The BJP staged a protest against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government over the water crisis in the national capital. There have been significant allegations against the AAP government, where the protestors and the political parties are claiming that the senior officials including some from the Delhi government are running a "tanker mafia".

It is natural. The people can do anything when they are angry. I am grateful to the BJP workers who controlled those people... It is the government's and people's property. There is no benefit in damaging this property,"  BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri said.

Launching a vitriolic attack on the AAP, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva said that Delhi Jal Board was in a profit of crores of rupees when Arvind Kejriwal became the chief minister.

"He was given charge of the DJB as chairman for over one year. It is strange that audit report of that more than one year is missing and the DJB is in huge debt," he said.
