Delhi's air quality improves as overall AQI reaches 128

People in Delhi breathed cleaner air today as the overall Air Quality Index stood at 128, which falls in the moderate category.

People in Delhi breathed cleaner air today as the overall Air Quality Index stood at 128, which falls in the moderate category.

According to the Centre-run System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), PM 10 pollutants in Delhi were recorded at 141 and PM 2.5 pollutants were recorded at 54.

The orgsation has also predicted that tomorrow (May 26), PM10 pollutants in Delhi will rise up to the figure of 243 and will remain in the 'moderate' category while PM2.5 pollutants will increase to 93 and will come down to the "poor" category.

The air pollution levels are likely to deteriorate during this week in the national capital, the advisory added.
