1. Bring out your bridal jewellery to elevate your look - This is the perfect occasion to bring out your bridal jewellery and give it another spin. The tip is to let the jewellery do all the talking, go for solid colors, simple motifs to bring about a really chic look.

2. Elegantly traditional with a modern twist - Unlike your wedding, you don't have to stick to traditional fabrics or silhouettes, you can experiment with a variety of lighter fabrics and brighter shades. This is also a good time to bring out your favourite unconventional look from dhoti pants to asymmetrical kurtas and more.

3. Play out your make-up fantasies - Remember all the makeup looks you've bookmarked on Instagram? Not all of them would have made it to your bridal functions, so here is your chance to put all of that hard work to good use. Go with metallic shades for eyes or pop of neon for your lips for those extra lit selfies.

4. Find everything in your mom's closet - Consider your moms wardrobe a treasure trove of fashion goodies every daughter inherits. You're bound to discover some classic gems that have come back in style. Grab some of her fringe pieces, silk scarves and sarees to create your own personalised look. Experiment with footwear by wearing 'juttis' or the 'Kolhapuris'.

5. Nine- yards of simplicity - Keep it simple with a red and gold or white and gold sari and amp it up with a bright blouse or a modern crop top. Enhance the look with a red colored bindi and a bunch of gold bangles. Complete the look with a loose bun or blow-dried hair.

Long story short just have fun, happy girls are the prettiest! Remember, the key is to stay comfortable as you won't be able to enjoy the festivities in high heels.
