Farmers in Delhi have high expectations from the newly elected Delhi government, and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has assured them that all their concerns will be addressed. Speaking after a budget consultation with farmers, she emphasized that both the Central and Delhi governments, as a "double-engine government," would work together to resolve agricultural and rural issues.

Gupta highlighted that farmers from across the capital were invited to provide suggestions for the upcoming Delhi Budget 2025. "We called the farmers from every corner of Delhi to consult about the budget. They have shared their suggestions with us," she said. She noted that for the past 15-20 years, villages in Delhi have seen little development, leading to increased hopes from the new administration. "I assure them that all the problems they have put before us will be solved," Gupta added.

Earlier, on March 6, the Chief Minister also held an interactive session with traders, businessmen, and business organizations to gather their inputs on economic challenges and budget priorities. Additionally, she visited slum dwellers in RK Puram Assembly constituency to understand their concerns and include them in the budget planning. The Delhi Budget Session is scheduled to take place from March 24 to March 28, with the budget presentation on March 25. According to the Legislative Assembly Secretariat, NCT, the session may be extended depending on the business agenda.
