The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted a raid on the residence of Chhattisgarh's former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel's son in connection with an alleged state liquor scam. The agency is investigating suspected irregularities and financial mismanagement in the state's liquor trade during Baghel's tenure. The alleged scam involves claims of corruption and illegal financial transactions linked to the state’s liquor business. ED officials have been probing money laundering aspects of the case, and the latest raid is part of their broader investigation.

Bhupesh Baghel, who served as Chhattisgarh’s CM until recently, has previously dismissed the allegations as politically motivated.
