In a chilling incident driven by rejection and anger, a man allegedly forced a woman to consume poison after she declined to break off her engagement. He then reportedly consume poisons  before attempting to end his own life.  This incident took place in Faridabad on Thursday March 19, 2026. 

As accused notice that his friend held is getting bad, he took her to hospital.  According to PTI reports now both are in stable condition. The woman alleged that during this period, Monu repeatedly pressured her to call off her engagement. However, she refused and also made it clear that she did not wish to maintain any further contact with him. Enraged by her refusal, Monu allegedly took out a packet of a poisonous substance from his car and forcibly fed it to her before consuming it himself.

She further stated that shortly after, both of them began to feel unwell. As their condition worsened, Monu drove her to a private hospital. Upon receiving information about the incident, a team from the Sector 58 police station arrived at the hospital and recorded the woman’s statement, following which an FIR was registered against the accused, Monu Bhati.

Police confirmed that a case has been filed based on the woman’s complaint. Both individuals are currently reported to be in stable condition, and further investigation is underway, according to a police spokesperson.
