Faridabad, Haryana (February 19, 2025): A 14-year-old boy allegedly locked his father inside their house and set it on fire after being scolded for not studying and stealing money. The shocking incident took place in Faridabad’s Navin Nagar.

The deceased, identified as Alam Ansari, had reprimanded his son for not focusing on his studies and for taking money without permission. Enraged by the scolding, the boy locked his father inside the house and then set it on fire.

Neighbors noticed the fire and rushed to douse the flames in an attempt to save Ansari. However, by the time they could intervene, it was too late. The teenager, meanwhile, climbed to the rooftop and escaped.

Police later apprehended the boy and launched an investigation into the case.
