A massive fire broke out in a gift and toy shop near the lift under Lucknow IT metro station on March 21. Local police team and fire department officials reached the spot to rescue people from the station and control the fire.

Shop owner Mohit Garg said that in the afternoon, the MSB suddenly collapsed. At that time, an employee was present in the shop with him. When they checked the spot, they saw sparks starting to emerge from the MSB, which led to a fire in the shop.

He mentioned that his shop was filled with gifts, expensive toys for children, and stationery items. The sparks gradually turned into flames, and within moments, the entire shop was engulfed in fire. Without delay, he informed the police and the fire department about the incident.The shop owner stated that as soon as they received the information, firefighters arrived at the scene and started controlling the fire by laying down a hose line. Seeing the intensity of the fire, four fire trucks reached the spot. After nearly an hour of intense effort, the fire was brought under control. He mentioned that due to this massive fire, expensive toys and gifts kept in the shop were burned, causing a loss worth lakhs. The fire was caused by a short circuit. However, there were no casualties in this incident.
