The Bengal Police on Wednesday recovered four 4 bombs near Hridaypur Railway station in state's North 24 Parganas region. The bombs were recovered from the railway tracks. The protesters blocked railway tracks in Howrah and Kanchrapara following the Bharat Bandh called by trade unions. 

The commuters also faced issues as bus services were affected by the same. Ten central trade unions including (CITU) and (INTU) have given the call for the strike with a 12-point charter of demand. The BJP affiliated trade union Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh is not taking part in the strike.
