A 32-year-old man died after an alleged assault that occurred during a dispute involving his in-laws in Ghaziabad on the night of March 30, police officials said. According to the police, the Tila Mod police station received information through a Police Response Vehicle (PRV) that a man was lying unconscious near Bhanera Puliya. Acting swiftly, officers reached the spot and rushed the injured person to a nearby hospital for treatment.
He was initially taken to Aradhya Hospital, where doctors referred him to GTB Hospital due to the seriousness of his condition. However, doctors at GTB Hospital declared him dead during examination. Preliminary investigation identified the deceased as Nitin, son of Ramnath, a resident of New Geetanjali Vihar in Loni. He was 32 years old and had been married for about a year. Police said that Nitin had reportedly been facing marital disputes with his wife in recent days. As part of efforts to resolve the matter, members of his in-laws’ family had come to his residence and were taking him along with them for reconciliation. However, during the journey, an argument reportedly escalated into a physical altercation. The scuffle allegedly resulted in serious injuries that ultimately led to his death.Police have launched an investigation into the incident, and further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the probe.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident in Ghaziabad, a late-night argument inside a house in Tronica City’s Rampark Colony ended in a brutal double murder. Police said a 38-year-old man allegedly shot dead his wife and a close friend after confronting them over an alleged relationship. The accused, identified as Rashid, had reportedly invited his friend and colleague Faheem (32) over for dinner on Monday evening. According to officials, the three spent several hours eating and smoking together before tensions escalated close to midnight, eventually leading to the fatal shooting. Police have taken the accused into custody and further investigation into the case is underway.
