A popular chain of restaurants in Goa on Tuesday launched a special offer, which gives its customers a chance to win a plate of free Kashmiri pulao on a bill worth Rs 370, keeping in line with the Centre's move to revoke Article 370 of the Constitution which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Ratish Naik, a marine engineer who runs the 'Pan Aroma' chain of restaurants in Goa, the offer is his eatery's tribute to the decision taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to make Jammu and Kashmir an unequivocal part of India.

"More than the dish itself, it is the sentiment which is more important. It is a great day for India that Article 370 has been removed," Naik told .

The social media campaign promoting the offer has already gone viral. "Article 370 removed. Let's celebrate. Make a bill worth Rs 370 and get Kashmiri Pulao absolutely free," the script on the social media poster read.

A typical Kashmiri pulao is cooked using milk, saffron, spices and fruits.

Naik claimed that he has a fascination with big national events, which explains why his restaurant in South Goa's Ponda town was launched on December 19, which is celebrated as Goa Liberation Day and the other restaurant in Panaji on August 15, which is Independence Day.

"The Kashmiri pulao offer is a dedication to the great decision taken by our Central government and a big step towards putting an end to Jammu and Kashmir's problems. It is a big day for our country," Naik said.
