A huge fire broke out at a warehouse in Goa's Naqueri-Betul area on Thursday night, March 20. The gunpowder stored in the warehouse caught fire, resulting in a blast that led to massive flames. According to the information, locals heard a loud sound from the warehouse at around 11 p.m.

The police said they received a distress call about the incident at around 11.30 pm. The flames could be seen from certain kilometers away. Sources told The Goan that a company manufacturing magazines and cartridges was storing the gunpowder at Naqueri.

PI Diogo informed The Goan that the fire was brought under control around midnight. The fire personnel remained at the site until late night.
