Gold recorded  a drop of ₹1,040 was recorded in gold prices, and a decline of ₹5,339 was noted in silver prices. While the commodity market appears to be tumbling on one hand, the strength of the Dollar Index remains intact on the other.

Gold and Silver Status on MCX

The strength of the Dollar Index is having a clear impact on the domestic commodity market. Upon the market opening on the MCX, the price of gold fell to Rs 1,51,650 per 10 grams, and the price of silver dropped to Rs 2,37,961 per kilogram. On the final trading day of the previous week, gold had closed at Rs 1,52,690 per 10 grams, and silver had closed at Rs 2,43,300 per kilogram.

Meanwhile, a significant surge in gold and silver prices was witnessed in the international commodity market earlier this morning. Experts suggest that the decline in the commodity market is being driven by the failure of talks between the United States and Iran; furthermore, if this tension does not subside soon, this downward trend could very well continue.
